Purdy PSW Fact
Sheet
- cuts available: 14',
16', 18', 20'
- lengths available:
50', 65', 70', 80'
- rigid blade is
standard; trip blade is optional
- the three blades can
be swung under the frame to 12' width, for easy
movement
- each blade has its
own reinforcing frame, with 10" channel
moldboards and 1/2" x 6" double-bevel
reversible blades; this allows for dirt-carrying
capabilities. Other machines have only a blade
mounted on a beam --- hit a ridge; dirt rolls
over --that is not leveling
- each blade has its
own leveling adjustments, plus adjustments with
the lift rods
- each blade is set at
a steep angle, to allow you to work heavy and
trashy grounds, plus move more dirt
- the curvature of the
blade and unique tilt of the moldboard rolls the
dirt for easier pulling
- four dual wheel
assemblies --- conventional or rocking-axle
- outside duals are 12'
wide outside-to-outside, for stability and to
eliminate bounce; inside duals are 6' wide,
inside-to-inside, for narrow bridges
- 12.5 x 15 rib
implement, for more floatation, less bounce, less
field compaction, and more stability
- eight 5200 lb.
payload capacity hubs and spindles --- 41,600 lbs
total payload capacity
- the only machine with
three heavy rectangular bottom runners, plus 6'
tall arches and knee bracing in the center, to
eliminate bounce and bending in the turns
- the depth control
stop allows for precision cuts, eliminates
irregular cuts
- the positive steering
controls allows for straight tracking on the road
and in the field, without the machine's drifting
from one side to another
- the rear wheels track
within 12" of the front in a turn and is
easy to back up
- rear hydraulic
steering
- has a short turning
radius
- once mechanically
set, the only adjustment is the depth
- easy maintenance and,
when needed, easy repair:
- bolt in
spindles; remove bolts; call the plant;
eliminate a welder
- wheel
assembly housings are bolt on
- only machine
that uses heavy brass wear bushings,
instead of having a shaft running in a
tube; slack in the housing --- replace
bushings
- entire blade
assembly can be dropped, not cut off,
from the machine
If you want a machine
that does even more precise movement of dirt, ask
about the legendary workhorse of the leveling
industry --- our P-30.
Leveler moldboards, levee
squeezer blades, combine headers, etc. can be
protected by the addition of
polysheeting/polyplating, cut to fit and bolted on.
This plastic sheet is inexpensive and greatly
increases the life of equipment moldboards. The
plating allows dirt and trash to move down the
moldboards with less drag, which means easier pulling
and less wear and tear on equipment. Headers are
protected from wear. In the case of landlevelers,
depending on the type of soil, farmers are getting
into the fields 1 1/2 to 3 days earlier. Another
benefit is that it eliminates winter maintenance of
having to paint moldboards.
The plating comes in various
thicknesses; some color options are available. Give
us your blade dimensions and we will cut and ship
your polysheeting, for you to bolt onto your
equipment. A cost-effective and money-saving addition
to any product with blades or headers.
